CASE STUDY 1

Problem: A digital mental health company developed a smartphone app. They collected a large amount of user data, but they felt quite overwhelmed not knowing how to analyze and use this data to demonstrate the effectiveness of their app to potential investors.

What they wanted to achieve: The company’s goal was to identify the most important variables within the collected data and develop key performance indicators (KPIs) that could be used to demonstrate the effectiveness of their app to potential investors.

How I helped them fix the problem: We went through the data with their data analysts and I helped them identify the most relevant variables and make sense of both the quantitative and qualitative data to get the big picture. We also selected the KPIs that would accurately reflect the app’s benefits on mental health.

Results: My work helped the company to demonstrate the effectiveness of their app to potential investors. The KPIs provided clear and concise evidence of the app’s positive impact on mental health, increasing investor confidence in the company’s product and overall potential for growth. The data analysis also provided valuable insights into user motivations to use the app, allowing the company to make informed decisions about future product development to increase retention.
