CASE STUDY 3

Problem: A virtual reality company needed an instructional design expert to adapt traditional training materials to VR. They were struggling to find instructional designers that were knowledgeable about virtual reality.

What they wanted to achieve: The company’s goal was to adapt traditional training materials to virtual reality technology while maintaining instructional effectiveness and engagement.

How I helped them fix the problem: I helped them adapt traditional training materials to virtual reality following principles from Behavioral Sciences, Communication, and Media Psychology that ensured a highly effective and engaging learning experience. I developed a detailed instructional design plan thinking on the needs of the VR designers and of the future users.

Results: The successful adaptation of the training materials to virtual reality technology resulted in the company being hired by the client to develop additional VR-based training. This established the virtual reality company as a regional leader in the emerging field of virtual reality-based training, and helped position them for future growth and success.
